IN CLASS:
Today in class we started studying root words (with a short tutorial in root vegetables to start it off. Surprisingly, no one is as big of a fan of beets as I am). Roots are a basic building block in the English language, so it only makes sense that we start building our vocabularies there. After that we checked the week's vocab assignment. After that, in hours 2, 5, 6, we read chapter 5 in Touching Spirit Bear.
I also made students aware of the face that I will not be at school on Friday, Sept. 25th, so the vocabulary quiz scheduled for that day will be postponed until Monday, Sept. 28th. I warned students not to forget about reviewing over the weekend.
A note for parents: I will also not be at Open House on Thursday evening. My brother is getting married in New York City on Friday afternoon, so I will be headed to the East Coast tomorrow afternoon. If you would like to meet with me, please let me know, and I would be more than happy to set up a time with you. Otherwise, I will look forward to meeting you at conferences in October!
ASSIGNMENT:
none.
Hi Ms. Keasling,
ReplyDeleteThank you for letting us know that you won't be at the open house tonight. I'd like to touch base with you about Danny's progress. My e-mail address is education@aldersgatemn.com. I e-mailed a message to you about a week ago. Maybe I have your e-mail address wrong. Is it anne.keasling@slpschools.org?
Thanks,
Marjie Brodersen
(son Danny in your 8th hour class)
