IN CLASS:
Today we checked vocab assignments for lesson 9. We also went over root words:

• DIGITUS=finger, toe, or inch. It also has come to mean number as in digits or digital because of the habit of counting numbers on fingers.
• CAPUT, CAPITIS=head as in capital (head of state), cap (head covering) or captain (head of a team or ship)
• MANUS=hand as in manual, manufacture, or mano which means hand in Spanish

After vocab and root words, we transitioned to taking some notes on note taking. This will help to prepare us for the task of gathering information and taking notes next week for our champion projects.
